ESE Ltd carry out work for Yorkshire based advanced automotive technology manufacturer, to revamp their existing High Voltage network.
Working alongside the customer, it was decided that an upgrade of the high voltage equipment in their intake substation was needed. This particular site runs around the clock and any shutdown had to be evaluated and meticulously planned to not cause any major disruptions. With this in mind, ESE Ltd were able to work alongside Northern Powergrid to carry out all the shutdown works at a day and time to suit the customer.
ESE Ltd replaced the existing 5 panel Brush VSI switchboard, with a new 8 panel Schneider Ringmaster extensible switchboard. This included isolators for the incoming feeds from Northern Powergrid and all outgoing ways with a new provision for a future CHP plant.
The old equipment was removed from site in an environmentally friendly way and was recycled accordingly. This has intern removed the suspension of operation and all of the remaining defected equipment from site. This has given site complete control of the high voltage network, whilst providing electrical stability for their future projects.
